Frequently Asked Questions
What is ADHD?
ADHD stands for “Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder” (formerly “ADD”). It is a complex condition where the brain develops and functions different than most.
The three primary identifying symptoms of ADHD are inattention, hyperactivity &/or impulsivity. However, it is so much more than just these three and can often be misdiagnosed or missed completely.
Left unmanaged, ADHD can significantly interfere daily with one’s life and ability to succeed personally, academically, socially and professionally. Managed well, ADHD can support a person in reaching great heights and their life’s true potential.
What is ADHD Coaching, and how will it help me?
ADHD Life Coaching is a partnership between a client and coach that provides an opportunity for creative, non-judgemental exploration of strengths and the barriers getting in the way of reaching one’s goals.
Through ADHD Coaching, you will develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your ADHD and how it is impacting your life. Armed with this new awareness, you will discover personalized solutions to remove barriers and overcome challenges made more difficult by your ADHD symptoms; so that you can finally calm the chaos, get things done and reach the goals you have set for your life.
Who do you help?
I work with adults who want to move past procrastination, overwhelm, and self-doubt so they can get unstuck and get things done.
I also coach high school and post-secondary students who are building executive function skills—like time management, organization, and follow-through—that set them up for success with more confidence and less stress.
Whether you have a formal ADHD diagnosis, think you may have ADHD, relate to just a few symptoms, or simply feel we might be a good fit to make positive changes in your life, reach out and let’s connect. You don’t need ADHD to work with me—just a desire for change.
Coaching is available to clients across Canada, the United States, and worldwide.
